Denver University Neighborhood Renovation
Our clients moved from the Colorado Springs area to retirement in the Denver metro area, near the university. We were asked to help with their new home landscaping. A basic but non-coherent landscape had been installed by the home builder. Part of the task was to re-use and reorganize some of the materials installed, while creating a beautiful and functional space for our clients. They desired a fire pit, which they had purchased from a local vendor. We designed a new patio, using brick from their home as a border to tie in to the architecture.
In the front we built a small stacked stone retaining wall to develop a sense of entry. We also re-defined and re-created the planting bed areas front and back, allowing a layered variety of size, texture, and color. Also, spaces to incorporate their statuary from their prior home were created.
The end result is a colorful addition to the Denver University neighborhood. We were pleased to work once again for this wonderful couple. Please let us know if we can be of assistance with the design and landscape installation for your new home.
