Hillside Gardens at Stone Crossing

We were fortunate to be able to help design and enhance this property for wonderful clients over several years. The lot is spacious, and the homeowner had the vision and desire to develop it to provide outdoor living and play space, and to provide a private oasis.

The lot slopes greatly, so one of the challenges was to retain and provide walkway access throughout the property. The builder had started some of the retaining with Siloam stone, and we continued this look throughout by using large slabs for unique retaining walls below and for stairs above. Because of the adequate lot size, we were able to design and install a sunken trampoline above, a fire pit patio below (which captured a beautiful view of both water and mountains) and water features in between.

Some of the evergreen trees imported to the site were twenty-foot-tall specimen spruce and pine. A good number of traditional balled and burlapped were planted as well. Filling in the spaces between a varied assortment of dwarf evergreen shrubs, specimen plantings, and flowering shrubs and perennials were used. The end result was a private oasis with plentiful seasonal color.

We are thankful to have been able to meet and work with this family on this beautiful project. If we can be of help to you on your new build or landscape renovation, please feel free to contact us.
