Since we started our business, we have had the privilege of working with a good number of contractors and individuals landscaping their Parade Homes in Colorado Springs, and have received multiple best landscape awards from the Colorado Springs Parade of Homes. We hope you enjoy looking at a few that we have worked on over the years, installed in 2008, 2014, and 2020. Arranged from new to old, you can get a sense of architectural trends over time. One of the trends we have seen (and appreciate) is creating a more seamless transition from the interior to the exterior of the home. We have seen larger openings created for access, as well as the trend of bringing the flooring of the home right out to the exterior paving. In addition, we are seeing and beginning to create more covered and partially conditioned space in outdoor living areas using pergolas, pavilions, shade cloth, fire features, and gas heat. The use of these features allows more comfortable and interesting use of outdoor space.
We are also seeing more varied architecture in El Paso County. Our two most recent parade homes are contemporary and French country in design. We worked to honor the home design, while meeting the individual needs, wants, and desires of our clients.
The older homes represent Tuscan on a spacious golf course lot and traditional style in a neighborhood development. Again, we gave a nod to the architecture of the home through material choices and planting schemes.
We have been fortunate in our ability to stretch and adapt to trends, as well as to help develop innovative landscaping. We have won multiple awards for our projects, but the greater joy is in being able to help create the vision and bring it to life.
